I decided to call my cooking persona the Kitchen Doula because I am committed to the idea that we can all feed ourselves and our families well. You don't have to be a gourmet cook, it doesn't take a chef's kitchen or a lot of time. And I'm determined to help people find their way back to their kitchens and their dining tables. I don't deliver babies, I birth cooks. I started the Kitchen Doula business with a focus group last year, going into the homes of a few brave souls and talking to them about the things that were keeping them from cooking at home. We all had a wonderful time, and I think I birthed a couple of cooks right then. Watch this blog for recipes, tips and updates. And if you're in the Philadelphia area and want me to come to your place and help you get your cooking mojo going (or back), drop me an email.
